Now Hiring: Accounting Technician

Hours: Full-time or Part-time
We’re looking for an Accounting Technician to join our team in Warrenpoint.
Most job adverts say things like “dynamic environment” or “exciting opportunity”. The reality here is simpler. We’re a small Chartered Accountancy practice that works closely with local businesses and individuals. We try to do good work, help our clients properly, and keep the office atmosphere friendly and supportive.
You’ll be working with a range of clients — from small start-ups to established businesses — helping with accounts, VAT, and day-to-day financial matters.
What you’ll be doing
- Preparing statutory and management accounts
- Completing VAT returns
- Handling CIS/RCT claims
- Bookkeeping and related tasks
- Supporting the management team with ad-hoc projects
What we’re looking for
- Qualified Accounting Technician (ATI/AAT or equivalent)
- Practice experience
- Confident communicator (written and verbal)
- Organised and able to manage your own workload
- Experience with Xero is desirable (but we’re happy to train you)
- Someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a small team
